Payment: 4 equal payments at predetermined milestones.

Deposit - 1st Payment: $12,500

Milling - The logs will be milled on site using an Alaskan chainsaw mill or hauled to my farm for bandsaw milling. A bandsaw mill is ideal to maximize our yield, however we will need to utilize tree service equipment to load logs onto my trailer, or have them placed on top of the driveway so they can be dragged onto a flatbed trailer using a winch. Either option is suitable for this project, we will utilize which ever approach is most feasible at that time.

Air Drying - Slabs will be stickered and stacked at my farm where they will air dry for 9-18 months until their moisture content averages 15% or less. Given the climate and species of wood, my guess is these slabs will be dry within 9-12 months, but there is no guarantee. We cannot rush Mother Nature. She took her time, and it’s important we do the same.

Kiln drying - The slabs will be transported to a lumber yard where they will enter a drying kiln. This process will reduce the moisture content by slowly increasing the internal temperature of the wood, reducing it’s natural tendency to warp, cup, twist and crack over time. It also kills any/all uninvited dinner guests who may be living inside of the slabs. Note: If slabs are deemed unfit for furniture building post kiln drying, a $3,000 credit will be applied to creating the same design with alternate material (ie. Rot, twist, mold, etc.)

2nd Payment - Due upon completion of kiln drying (Approximately March 2023).

Surfacing - The slabs will be ran through a large belt sander where they will be flattened and sanded. This process reveals the grain pattern and exposes the workable material.

Slab selection/layout - The surfaced slabs will be laid out and we will select the appropriate design/orientation for the two river tables.

3rd Payment - Due upon completion of slab selection/layout (Approximately May 2023).

Resin pour - The selected slabs will be cast in pearl white epoxy resin. Resin pigment TBD. Various color samples will be mailed to client.

Surfacing - Once the slabs have been cast and cured, they will be ran through belt sanders again for re-flattening/sanding.

Shaping/sanding - The slabs will be cut to their final dimensions, spot poured and finish sanded.

Leg fabrication - Once the tops have been cut to size the custom steel bases will be designed and fabricated. Powder coat color TBD.

Finishing - The finished tops will be stained grey and sealed with a water and alcohol resistant oil finish.

4th Payment - Due upon completion of tops and bases (Approximately July 2023). Finished photos of both tables on their custom bases will be sent to client for approval.

Delivery - Included with purchase.
